History of Xavierlights

The History of Xavierlights started over 20 years ago in a small town called Riverton Illinois.  When I was younger, I would decorate my mothers apartment balcony with christmas lights.  Not many, maybe 500-600 lights.  We then moved into a house on Jamestown Circle.  Here is where the craze started.  My mothers neighbor and I would have a completion each year on who had more lights.  At this point, the display had about 2000 lights. Around 1995, I moved to Springfield Il with my wife Richelle.  During our time that we lived in Springfield, the display continued to grow each year.  Our last year in Springfield ended tragically when our home was destroyed by a fire.  The fire was caused by a candle that was in the house burning. We lost everything that we owned in the fire except one thing, My complete christmas display which was stored in the shed.  In 2001, we left Springfield and moved to Sherman Il.  This is also home to "Xavierlights" which is named after the street that we live on.  In 2005, the display had approx. 54,000 lights, over 100 lighted blowmolds and 13 wireframes covering one lot.
